As an EMDR Practitioner Therapist, I want to provide you with hope that healing can take place for you, that you can recover from painful life experiences, and that your life can be transformed. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a revolutionary therapy.

If you‘re having trouble moving beyond anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or experiencing disturbing memories related to recent or long-ago trauma, I can help. People come to me asking for help because they are feeling stressed, afraid and fearful. They are struggling to let go of the past and are feeling haunted by the things that they have seen or experienced. They are often having trouble in their relationships or difficulty at work. Each day can feel like a challenge to them.

The word trauma comes from the Greek term meaning “to wound.” Sometimes “talk therapy” is not enough to heal the wound. Something more specialised is required for deeper trauma. EMDR therapy works directly with the brain and the way memories, thoughts, feelings and body sensations are stored when we are traumatized. I integrate this powerful, research-based trauma recovery method into my work with clients.

I work with adults who have experienced single incident trauma or childhood/repeated trauma. I support you on your journey to wellness by using EMDR therapy which is proven to be successful in treating many conditions including PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), depression, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, complicated grief, disturbing memories, dissociative disorders, physical abuse and neglect, road traffic accidents and assaults.
